My name is Ms. Dana Wilkinson. This is my first year at PMA, and I am very excited to begin my journey. I earned my Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Language at California State University, Long Beach, and my Master's degree in English Literature and Language at Loyola Marymount University. Presently, I am earning my Single-Subject Credential in English at CSULB. For the 2018-2019 school year, I will teach Honors English I, CP English I, and Introduction to Drama.
Although I am new to PMA, this is my 16th year teaching. In my experience as a instructor, I have discovered that a passion for reading and writing once instilled in the minds of children opens up the doors to success in many fields of study. The beauty of literature is that there are so many types of books to choose from, and eventually, one may discover a style of writing that begins a life-long love of reading. This is my hope for your daughter or son. I look forward to working with the ninth grade class, to introducing them to a subject that will be exciting and fulfilling long after they complete their first high school English course.
