Makerspace

The MakerSpace is a response to the concept of 21st Century learning and the 4Cs of education: collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking in education. The PMA Makerspace was constructed by students from the CLIK (Computer Leaders and Innovators Krew) Technology Club with the assistance of  T4T.org, a non-profit organization that helps schools build Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M) Labs from overrun or unused materials from manufacturers  that would otherwise go to landfills. These materials such as cardboard tubes, styrofoam, cardboard thread cones, glass tubes, fabrics, tiles and more are used to create projects and Common Core lessons and  to support a project based learning curriculum. The MakerSpace is sustainable and environmental friendly. The Makerspace has basic tools such as saws, drills, workbenches, wrenches, 3D Pens and a Makerbot 3D Printer.
