Co-Curricular Enrichment

The Latin Dance Club, led by our choreographer, Jennifer Aguirre, explores various Latin rhythms and genres, including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and traditional cultural dances. Students learn basic footwork, armwork, and turns while also learning about the origins of each type of dance. This after-school class culminates in a Latin Dance Showcase, featuring performances by students and a Latin dance class open to all attendees.

The Knee-Slappers, The Arts Collective's premiere improv troupe, is a student-led group overseen by Mr. Sims. Students meet weekly to learn improv techniques and games based on the teachings of Charna Halpern, Del Close, and Kim Johnson, and institutions such as the Upright Citizens Brigade. The Knee-Slappers perform at the annual holiday improv show, "Yes, And..." and the Arts Showcase.
