Immunity 100

Vaccination rates in Los Angeles County for teens are low, just over 50%. At PMA, 93% of staff and 60% of students have been vaccinated. Our student demographic, a majority Latinx and African-American, represents the most impacted population during the pandemic. We feel it is our responsibility to promote awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine, encourage students and families to get vaccinated, mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and decrease the likelihood of having to shut our school down amidst an outbreak. The mission and vision of PMA, to offer a Catholic university experience for teenagers in grades 9-12 that provides opportunities for all students to grow in faith, learn without limits, and live with purpose, is dependent on an in-person learning environment.

In order to continue in service of our mission, we have launched Immunity 100, a campaign to achieve a 100% vaccination rate for the PMA community. We understand that the decision to be vaccinated may be difficult, and respect all perspectives that exist among our Warrior community. Immunity 100 will provide opportunities for everyone to learn about the COVID-19 vaccine so an informed decision can be made about getting vaccinated and how the quickest way to achieve immunity is to through vaccination. The campaign will also provide incentives. All students who provide the school proof of full vaccination by October 1, 2021, will be entered into a raffle. In order for the raffle prizes to be activated, PMA must reach at least a 90% vaccination rate.

Prizes for the raffle include:

  • 50% off tuition for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year for 5 families
  • Laptop
  • Free Lunch Fridays
  • Special Dress Days
  • Grade Level Prizes & more!
