'62 Can Do Scholarship Fund
A Class That Can Do…
The Class of 1962 has become a philanthropic leader among the generations of alumni at St. Pius X - St. Matthias Academy.
The 62 Can Do Scholarship began at the class's 50th reunion in 2012, when Randy Martin '62 challenged his classmates to do their part in funding the education of future Warriors. That challenge became a movement.
Since 2014, Randy Martin and Cathy Riley '62 have led the effort, raising funds to support a $1,500 scholarship for one student in each grade level, a total of $6,000 every year. Their generosity has made a PMA education possible for a growing number of Warriors!
In 2025, the Class of '62 took their commitment a step further, investing in the perpetuity of the scholarship to ensure its longevity for generations to come. By the spring of 2026, they had raised enough principal (over $150,000!) to join the Legacy Society and establish a permanently designated fund whose interest will support the scholarship for years to come.
The 62 Can Do Scholarship is a testament to what a class can accomplish when its members come together. We invite every Warrior who wishes to follow their lead and continue to grow the fund to help a greater number of families afford a Warrior education.
